(Dimmesdale is the big one, because he’s about to get carved. The small ones are unnamed. I was thinking about Pearl and Hester, but that’s a little too obvious.)
And here is Dimmesdale with a face. He has exchanged his “A” for features, as he has more insecurities about his individuality than any mere indiscretions. He is, indeed, a product of his generation.
And here he is with the inner light. Apparently he’s now Amish. Which is probably a good choice–the Puritan stuff wasn’t doing him any favors.
